Yeah this is my latest painting, it is 7' x 5.5', that is feet if you did not know lol. But the title of the piece is "Detroit's Crisis 313-873-6170". It is still up at the Arts League of Michigan downtown so go ahead and check it out. The show will be extended until the end of July.

Something no one should miss if they are in the metro Detroit area. This is the show that i curated and organized. The opening was a great success I will post images from the exhibit soon as well as new paintings that I exhibited during the show. This coming Saturday is another artists panel featuring the 5 remaining artist from the show. The Artist that will be on the panel this Saturday will be Richard Lewis, Alonzo Edwards, Gregory Johnson, Sabrina Nelson and me. Please come to the Arts league of Michigan at 2pm on Saturday and ask as many questions about the show you can possibly think of.

Detroit Lover

So this is the painting that I was working on the rooftop of the 555 gallery in Detroit. It is finally finished and the title of the piece is "Detroit Lover". Let me know what you all think.

New ART WORK, OLD ART WORK and CASS CAFE

I know it has been some time since the last post. Shows, shows, art, art and more shows have been keeping me busy. The opening for the art show at Cass Cafe was this past Saturday and it was a great success. If you have yet to see the work make sure you do, it is an amazing show and I am not just saying this because I am a part of it.

A Great Artist of Detroit

So for a long time I have seen how under appreciated Detroit artist are. There has to be an end to this because the most amazing artist I have met have come from my city and I have been all over the world. When a man of talent, many degrees and amazing work is cast in the shadows of the art world it is a huge problem. Now I want to see your knowledge of such a man, I will show you some images of art works from a man that graduated from CCS, moved on to receive his Master's degree from Yale and participated in the highly esteemed Artist in Residence program at the Studio Museum in Harlem.

So do you have any idea, If you know anything of Detroit art, this is a man that should be at the top of your list. Do some research if you have no clue and I am not giving his name until someone provides it for me. Uplift the grand Talent of Detroit artist and Detroit will have a revival like no other. Why do you think New York, L.A, Atlanta, Chicago, Florence, Rome, and Amsterdam are such major cities and hot spots. What do all these places have in common? It should be very easy to figure out, history tells all their stories with a common factor.
