Also I figure I would show you all some of the reference I was using for this painting. I painted the magazines from life but here are some images of how I kept them in place when she was posing.
I think this is the best painting I've seen of yours. Love the magazines, it puts it in a contemporary context. And your figure looks more powerful than Diego's, to me at least. Her facial expression is that of a real, confident, intelligent, mildly tired woman; where as Diego's figure reads as a little frightened to me. Only when I look at it with a lot of scrutiny I would have one suggestion which is a purely formal critique of one thing you could fix. (this only happened because I tried to find what you were talking about) I won't tell you what it is though, unless you ask... :)
I love it- the trunk or right arm is a lil short I maybe wrong though my eyes could be playing tricks on me - my favorite is the face colors warm intense tones and feet just knocked it out the park!
